The ANSWER Coalition,
Act Now to Stop War and End Racism, is a national grassroots volunteer organization. No experience
is
necessary to get involved in local and national struggles for justice!
We're involved in and help organize many different struggles, including
the struggles against U.S. war, anti-racist struggles,
immigrant rights,
union solidarity, student rights, Womens rights, LGBT
equality, the
struggle against police brutality and more.
ANSWER is one of the most visible and effective anti-war
and antiracist organizations in the country. A people's
organization for the masses, we have helped organize
many large scale demonstrations against the war and for
jobs and equality. We have chapters and offices from
coast to coast, including an office here in Chicago.
We have initiated various campaigns including a campaign
against the sale of the parking meters in Chicago,
NoCTAcuts.org, against state and local budget cuts in Illinois and a
national campaign to Seize BP's assets. We're all
volunteer, so volunteering with ANSWER means that you
can make a difference in the struggles for peace, jobs
and equality right away.
